Call for Proposal – 2022 NE-PACT Annual Conference Equity in Action: Enhancing Parent Center Capacity

NE-PACT, the Region A Parent Technical Assistance (TA) Center and the Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium’s (MAEC, Inc.) Center for Education Equity (CEE), the Region I Equity Assistance Center, are co-sponsoring the 2022 Region A Parent Center conference. We
are seeking proposals that reflect the best thinking in the field of equity and culturally responsive family engagement with a special focus on early childhood and working with youth & young adults/transition to adult life. The conference will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico
from April 5 to April 7, 2022.

CONFERENCE THEME & FOCUS AREAS
The conference theme is Equity in Action: Enhancing Parent Center Capacity. We invite
proposals that address equity and culturally responsive services in:
 Reach, Service Delivery, and Outcomes
 Early childhood
 Transition to adulthood/working with youth & young adults
 Other topics of relevance and importance to parent centers

THE PLANNING TEAM INVITES PROPOSALS THAT
 Address current challenges faced by families (parents and youth/young adults) in
navigating systems in the field
 Deliver model practices using approaches for different types of learners
 Stimulate and provoke discussion and audience engagement
 Use multimedia approaches to enhance attendee learning

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Please be sure to read the instructions for submission carefully prior to submitting. Proposals
must be completed online using the following form:
(https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/c8727e78c13e4956b853de13d6c78e97). Please be as
specific as possible. Responses from the form will be used for official conference materials.
Personal bios must be uploaded in the online application. Incomplete proposals will not be
considered in the review process. Proposals should be submitted by December 20, 2021.
Notification of acceptance will be sent out by January 14, 2022.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated with the following criteria foremost:
 Connection/applicability to the Conference theme
 Originality and quality of the proposed session
 Realistic allocation of time, including for discussion
 Agreement that the presentation will be live streamed and recorded
